ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Emily Breden and I'm the founder/director of Curious Giraffe Therapies.
​
I graduated as a Dramatherapist and Play Therapist from Derby University in 2009 and as a Clinical Supervisor from The London Centre for Psychodrama (Maudsley Hospital) in 2016.
​
I'm registered with HCPC (The Health & Care Professions Council), BADTh (The British Association of Dramatherapists and I am a member of the BADTh Supervisors Register.
​
Alongside my therapy/supervision practice I am Supervision Lead for BADTh's Supervison Sub-Committee and am a Consultant Educational Supervisor with The National Hub for Supervision in Education. I am also Specialist Clinical Advisor for the International Mental Health Project for Universities.
​
My specialist interests include Brain Injuries, Identity Post Brain Injury, Communication Difficulties, Education, SEN, Gender Identity, post-adoption support and PTSD.
​
Outside of my clinical practice I enjoy playing Saxophone, Singing and playing the piano with Lippy - a Leicester based contemporary band. I'm also a gamer and enjoy a wide mixture of games and gaming platforms.
